Is a honour feature in our pages, this Italian thrash metal legend (total cult),that is once again in the scene with the trademark of uncompromising thrash metal in the wild NECRODEATH style.
The interview was send to Peso but was Claudio who answer, (Thanks Claudio)

In 1998 you and Claudio decide to raise one of the legendary bands of Italian And European thrash metal scene from the ashes: NECRODEATH. What made you do it? Was it the good memories, nostalgia , the need to show to the new generations how to make music with agressive spirit, what wast it?
The main reason was that we love this kind of music and we still have fun in playing together ... so, here we are .. this is what we are able to do .. if people like it, then it's ok !!!!
Somehow Scarlet music had to do with with this comeback , As soon as you got together, they signed you and re-released your "Into Macabre " Lp in CD, is this right?

Yes .. we let everybody know that we had the intention to come back .. so, some labels contacted us .. one of these were Scarlet .. and we signed a deal .. first of all, they wanted to print Into the Macabre on cd .. 'cos you know, it was very difficult to find the original one ...
You've always been involved in music, After NECRODEATH broke up, you started SADIST and stayed with them until 1998. The original name for this band was NECROSADIST. What is the atraction of word NECRO? Did you want to keep NECRODEATH alive , somehow?

Well ... I think Peso wanted to play with Necrodeath .. but it was impossible !!! .. so he founded a new band with a name coming from a Necrodeath song !!!!
Tell us more about SADIST (You spent 6 years in that band), i would like to know why did you include keyboards in your sound?

This really I don't know guys ... I have to ask Peso !!! ... He had to know that I hate keyboards !!!!!!!
Two cd's were released By Nosferatu Recs "Above the light" and "Tribe" which got the same, or even a better response than the 7", there were great reviews everywhere. In terms of Evolution, what are the main diffrences between these two works? Which do you like the best? Sorry .. Peso doesn't like to talk about his past .. I know nothing about.
After recording "Tribe" at the end

You left SADIST in 1996 and a year and half later you decide to regroup NECRODEATH. What old-member did you contac first? Or was it only Claudio with whom you got in touch?

Ok .. so, it was my idea to reform Necrodeath .. I met Peso after some years, and I asked him to play together again .. I knew nothing about his activity with other bands, 'cos I have been out of the
scene for all that time ... he said let's try ...after a few trials we understood that Necrodeath could rise again !!!
Warlord Recs were going to release you LP, what happened with that? Did they
together with Scarlet to do it?
Were they involved in this release at all?
I don't know at all ... I heard they wanted to release our second LP Fragments of Insanity .. but I know nothing at the moment ..

"Into The Macabre", has been released as a picture disc. Will the same happen with "fragments Of Insanity"? what do you prefer for your collection, picture-disc or Lps's?
As I told you, at the moment there are no news about Fragments ... I like pictures .. maybe Scarlet thinks that even our fans like it .. so they even printed Mater of All Evil on picture !!!

Brian Slagel discovered or got SLAYER to be known. Was there a Brian Slagel who discovered , or showed total trust in the talent of Necrodeath?

There were some people who trusted in Necrodeath in the past .. they gave us the money to record our demos and LP
. and the same is now with Scarlet ... but, we have not been so lucky as to meet a producer like Brian Slagel .. otherwise maybe we would have been succesful .
What label release your demos and Lp's, and why were they so scarcelly distributed?

Well .. in those years there was no organisation in Italy .. impossible to have a real distribution for an extreme metal band in those years.

NECRODEATH and BULLDOZER are two great bands from the Italian scene, that never got the support from big labels at that time. However , nowadays these bands are being brought back to life and given the recognition long due. Is it easy to get your cd's as well as BULLDOZER's? Why do you think the Italian scene always kept away from the great european movement? Why is it being give importance now?
Well .. as far as I know Bulldozer is not reforming at the moment (Sadly ED).. anyway, you're right, italian bands have been afr away from success in europe .. now something is changing, but it is true especially for power metal band .. in the extreme scene, is still difficult to find a famous band ... I don't really know the reason ... i think it's only a question of market .. power metal sells more copies actually !!!
Re-releasing forgotten jewels has become fashionable. There are many re-editions of Lp's and cd's going around. It has advantages, being able to enjoy the works once again is one of them. However it could also be an easy way for the labels to make money, what do you think? Are the labels taking advantage of people's nostalgia for metal's golden years?
Yeah .. you're right .. at the end I think everything is first of all an occasion for label to raise some money ... that's why they reprint everything ... good or shit it makes no difference for them ... anyway, it is even true that there are some very good records from the past ... even a lot better of new ones .. so, at hte end you can always choose .. you're not obliged to buy what they want ...
Old recordings have more "Live" sound, more honest, there weren't the recording techniques found nowadays. How would you compare the recording process of your first album with what you found now at Underground Studios in Sweden?.
How do you feel with so many computeres and cold machine around? Well ... there are no computers at Underground . beleive it
or not, Pelle only uses traditional tecnhiques ... then, even if it is true that the old sound is true .. it is even true that it was a shitty sound ... I'm a musician, and I prefer 1000 times
to hear my record sounding like Mater of All Evil than like Into the Macabre !!!! .. i would have liked to hear Into .. sounding like the new one !!!!
You new singer Flegias does a great job in "Matter Of All Evil" are you happy with him? Has he fulfilled all your expectations?

Yeah .. I'm fully satisfied .. he was a lot better of what I espected !!!
Who was the former singer?
Have there been others ? Tell us about them?
No .. only Ingo (the first) and Flegias now .. he will be the last one .. this is the second and last line up for Necrodeath.
A split Lp was released in 89 with SCHIZO "Mondocane (Project One) why is this name different from the ones used by NECRODEATH? What does it mean?
It was a joke .. we are friends with Schizo (they're coming back again now .. did you know it?? (Yeah, i was reading some about of this)
You are a veteran of the thrash metal scene, Is NECRODEATH confortable being part of this actual scene? Do you prefer to stay away from it,especially from the retrothrash scene?

We don't mind .. we are not retro thrash .. we are Necordeath .. in the past and present .. only Necrodeath ... we're not a new band playing old thrash .. New metal heads who have just discovered NECRODEATH migth relate the band to Black metal because of the torn vocal, what do think of the modern black metal?
Well .. it is a little bit different from old black metal .. they usually call us
Black Tharsh .. and I like it ...

SLAYER, KREATOR, CELTIC FROST, BATHORY are bands that influenced you and now have changed (Bathory's, Quorthon has stated he listens to ands ..alternartive-..that have nothing to do with metal..). How do you feel about them? Do you feel disapointed to see them change while you still keep ighting?

No problem .. we're still fighjting because we love this music .. maybe some of them they don't like extreme metal anymore .. I don't know, but this is not my problem .. at least is their problem ...
Which of the old, but still active bands keep influencing you?
SLAYERRRRRRRRRRRR
You have been acknoweledged as influence by bands like Cannibal Corpse, Immortal, Brutal Truh, At The Gates, Desaster and Marduk. have your ever been on stage with any of these bands? what other bands you're played with heve mede their great admiration known you?

Yeah .. we played with Immortal, Marduk and Cannibal Corpse ... great guys .. Corpsegrinder is a very nice guy .. you can see it on our home video Fro Hate to Scorn out now !!!! ... among other bands .. well, Vader let us know they are our fans .
Is the "Iconoclast" song in Matter Of
All Evil the same from your demo?
Did you make any changes?
Yeah .. it is the same song, but the original version was 9 minutes long, and the new one is only 4 ... we cut some parts, but riffs are the same .. Are you still in touch with the underground? Do you still get letters from your old fans?
Yeah .. absolutely .. our old fans are hard to die .. like us !!!!!!
Thank you Peso It has been a great honour, Partying words?
