Interview with Phil Fasciana.
HATE PLOW started as a fun side project, an all star death metal band. Your first demo was released in 1994, tell us about this recording?
In 94 i had just finished recording M.C.'s 3rd cd."Stillborn"and i was very unhappy with the recording and the band was falling apart at that time.Rob had some time off from Cannibal Corpse and me him and Larry got together to write some song's along the lines of Napalm Death or Terrorizer for fun and we recorded a 4 song demo 2 day's later.
Why Larry Hawke and Rob leave after the recording of this demo? How long were they gone?
Nobody left,we just had our other band's to work with,and we had to take a break for a year or so before we could get together again. You call Crazy Larry Hawke a "Long time south florida scene stalwart" tell us more about him? Did he always keep the band alive? Yeah,he was a true musical warrior!Since i han M.C. and Rob had C.C.,Hateplow was Larry's main band and he put a lot into getting us together to create insane music.
How did he go to Prison? What about thi strange death?
He had fired a gun at some people who robbed him and went to jail for 9 month's and about 1 month after he was releases he died in a fire in his home.It was a terrible loss for everyone.We miss him very much!He was a great friend to have!!!!!
You have gone back to the root of the purest death grind, you are giving new life a genre that was loosing power because of the addition and mixture of other sounds. What do you think? I hope so,i can't say that it is anything new,but it is very brutal and in your face.It is great fun for us actually!!!!

What is the meaning of the cover ? Why is it "Too Late" for the suicide? No meaning really,we just thought it looked cool!!!!
Is "The Only Law is Survival" a tribute to him?
Yeah definately,we know how much HatePlow ment to him and every recording we do will be because of him.Larry was HatePlow!!!!
Your Lyrics aren't the common gore stuff, they are focused in the raw reality of society,?
Yeah i know,Kyle is very realistic with the lyric's and they are quite hilarious at times.We believe it is a lot cooler to write about real life thing's other than make believe shit!!!!
The lyrics to "Adicted To Porn" are great , what drove you to write this song? Could this be an anthem for every true poRno death metal fan? Kyle is the man you need to talk to about Porn,but i would have to say Jenna Jameson is quite amazing!!!!
Your name HATE PLOW, and your logo aren't very coomon in the grin/death field, why did you pick this hardcore-like name? Who designed the logo?
Larry designed the logo and we just love the name!!!!
THE ONLY LAW IS SURVIVAL has confirmed you as one of the best death grind bands around.Is this the result of making HATE PLOW a full time project , instead of a paralel project?
HatePlow is all about grinding and when we have time to create a new cd.it will grind even faster than the last one
From EVERY BODY DIES the only member missing are Tim Scot (bass) and Larry Hawke (R.I.P), they were

replaced by Doug Humlack and Dave Culross. As I mentioned before Hate Plows music was slower on the first album, and even Kyle' vocals were more guttural, did the line up change affect your soun in any way?
A little bit.But we knew that we wanted the next cd. to be much more grind sounding,so that was the direction we went for.
How come an all star death metal band has to release two demos before beign signed by a label? I havent' heard these demos, but it is my guess they are great?

I wouldn't consider us all star's,but we don't think we need any special treatment,we are just the same as any underground band!!!!

How was the distribution, and how was the response?
We released these demo's and they were not really distributed. Just some friend's and some record label's have them.
Who did vocals in your first demo?
Rob sang vocal's on the first 4 song demo in 94".
HATE PLOW is planning to invade Europe of course MALEVOLENT CREATION wil be there too. how do you make people at your concerts known they re not watching the same band ( of course H.P music is different from M.C's) after just changing the singer? Brett Hoffman by Kyle Simmons?
