Yes, the album is totally finished now, and yes, the final title is "Rise of the Antichrist".

Will the great guitar work of At The Gates of Hell be present in the new album?..will it feature that strong heavy metal influence ?
Well the new album is way more agressive than any of our previous releases. It is more in the vein of "Pentagram Prayer" than "At the Gates...", but it sure contains some excellent guitar work!
How busy has BEWITCHED kept in the last two years? (Since the release of At The Gates of Hell.)
We have actually been lazy during this time... We have only done one show in Mexico city, and apart from that we have finished this
new album.
What do you think of Chile´s BEWITCHED ?
I´ve only heard a couple of songs when being drunk so I can´t really make a comment but from what I remembered it sounded really
good!

Does it bother you that tey´ve been using that name longer that you?
No, not really. People should have enough intelligence to keep us apart.
Why do you think BEWITCHED isn´t just another fucking "Retro" band ?
Because we have managed to make something new even though it reeks of the old glorious days... Bewitched is

here to stay, deal with it!
The Enciclopedia of Evil mcd, contained versons of clasic bands. Don´t you find it a little unnecesary to have recorded it ?
No. We will always do what we want and we wanted to pay tribute to the bands that influenced our sound on "Diabolical Desecration". If people don´t like it, don´t buy it!
How important is originality for BEWITCHED when composing ?
Of course it is important, but as I have always said... It is more important with quality than originality!
Vargher, all of the songs on "At the gates of...2 were written by you. How come the other members didn´t participate ?
I am a dictator when it comes to music and I didn´t need any help. I have actually written almost everything since this band
started, but on the new album Wrathyr has contributed with some lyrics...

As a SWedish band, do you feel a sense of loyalty towards the Swedish scene ?
No, not at all. I don´t care shit about the swedish scene. I care about if a band is good or not, it doesn´t matter where they
are from.
Has internet had any impact on the promotion of BEWITCHED?..and what is your fave website (Bands or zines)

How´s your relationship with Osmose productions ?
It´s been pretty dead for some time but I hope that this will change when the new album is released.
In a recent interview with Joe Lewis of VITAL REMAINS, he stated that Herve from Osmose had stolen from then as well as from other bands. What do you think.

I don´t know really... I don´t have any facts about this mattter so I choose not to comment.

Aren´t some of BEWITCHED´s lyrics some what simple ? how important are lyrics for BEWITCHED ?
The lyrics are as important as the music. Yeah, they are written in a very simple way but that´s the way we want it. Nobody can misunderstand the meaning and goals behing Bewitched. Why write in fuckin´latin or some shit like that like some others do? I want
people to get upset and fucked up and you can´t accomplish that if nobody understand what the hell you are writing about.
Do you have any musical or non musical influences that people would not expect you to have? if so then who and why ?
No, I think Bewitched shows pretty obviuos what my musical influences are. My main influence when it comes to lyrics is the
bible, but that shouldn´t come as a surprise either.
To which album you´re listening while answering this interview?..and what are you five fave albums at the moment?
I'm actually listening to the new Bewitched album right now. To five albums? That a difficult question but let´s say "Don´t Break the Oath" (Mercyful Fate), "Deicide" (Deicide), "Only the Stong" (Thor), "Them" (King Diamond)and "Rise of the Antichrist".
