Bio:
We started out in June 1991 with some different line up. We have always had several line-up problems, but I believe these things are solved today as we now have Sorgh (from Apollyon) on drums and Isaz (from Feikn) on bass. A strong line-up. Until now we have released :
-"Obscularium Infame" demo-1992
-"The dawn Of Aemizaez" demo 1993
-"The statues are Watching" 7" EP 1995
-"The Gouls of DOG" Mcd-1996
1.From your MCD "The Ghouls of DOG" for me excellent, are you satisfied with reviews in zine around the world,How many copies hasit sold and people reaction from it?We are satisfied you could say, but as always you can later on find things you would have done different today. I’m not totally satisfied with the sound nor Uksul’s playing, but all in all it’s a fine piece of utter evil. The last time I asked Dark Trinity Productions (England) for the sales it had sold around 2500 copies, but we haven’t seen any money for it yet, which really make me angry as hell. I guess it will start sell again when our new release is out. Most people seem to like it, but of coarse there are a few exceptions. I can only say I’m satisfied with peoples positive reactions towards our black music.
2.Are you the true inheritor of Mayhem legacy's, what is your opinion?
Hmm, that’s a slogan Hammerheart Records use when promoting us. Of course it’s a compliment but still we are more than just a cheap Mayhem copy. We invent, we don’t get copy. I really like Mayhem a lot, but their new stuff with the new line-up suck shit totally! They went from being the ultimate cult band you could say to a boring and meaningless band. Their new MCD sucks big time. They are dead to me.
3.Has DOG played outside of Denmark and how many shows was realized? Yes, I think we have played something like 7 shows until now with bands such as The Ancient’s Rebirth, Insanity Reigns Supreme, Pagan Rites, Gehennah, Draconis, Apollyon, In-Quest, Bifrost, etc., all shows were good I think. Besides Denmark we have played in Sweden, Holland and Belgium.
4.How is the Denmark underground?
The Danish underground is filled with kids who started listening to Black Metal with the latest Norwegian releases. Kids who know nothing about this subject. Only bands here, which I respect are: Apollyon, Feikn, Blazing Eternity, Brandpest, Solens Skygge and Nortt. We are all closely connected and proudly name ourselves as the Danish elite. Of course we can’t forget King Diamond and Mercyful Fate, despite they’re not underground. They are legendary.

5.Your next cd will be  with Hammerheart Recs, tell me more about that?
We will soon record a new release, which will see the light of day in the form of a MCD and a 10" picture disc EP (vinyl rules!). It will be entitled "Klabautermanden" and contain "Black Horror Metal" (a new track) and "Dethrone the tyrant-god" (from the first demo), beside the title track. faster, sicker and more blasphemous than ever before. Later we will do a full length album entitled "The horrors of Satan", but this is still so far away, so I won’t talk too much about it. I can only say it will be a monumental piece which will be remembered.
6.What inspire your liric writing and you music and why the Name The Gouls Of Dog?
I write most of our lyrics and I must say I like writers like Alice Cooper, Dead (Mayhem), King Diamond, Venom, Ozzy Osbourne, and countless of others, but I don’t think they really inspire me that much. I get inspiration from sick books and my twisted mind. Musically I think we are inspired by Death SS, Venom, Hellhammer, Mayhem, etc... We chose the title "The ghouls of DOG" simply because it fitted into our concept of horror and it should make people think a bit. Therefore I won’t reveal the meaning behind the title. Just think about what is "DOG"?
7.Tell me more about of Alice Cooper,i have read that tour show is inspired in Alice Cooper horror?
On stage we have some theatrical effects like blood, candles, funeral decorations, skulls, bones, maggots, etc., and in the future we will take it much further. We have some sick ideas. You’ll see. Alice Cooper can be defined as the father of horror in music. He started out already in the 60’s/70’s with being a thorn in the eye of all the peace loving hippies. He has been experimenting with several kinds of music through the years. For example on "Welcome to my nightmare" it was like Rock/acid, "Flush the fashion" it was more like Pop music, on "Raise your fist and yell" pure Heavy Metal and on "Trash" Hard Rock, etc. Even if not all his releases are totally connected with horror ( he had his ups and downs), he is still a kind of father figure to us. We would like to do a cover of his song "Welcome to my nightmare".

9.Do you follow any religion or philosophy, and can you  tell us about of your favorite writer?
We consider ourselves as satanists, but we don’t talk about it in public. It’s personal. I mostly spend my time on reading horror stories and my fave writers must be Robert Bloch (god!), H.P. Lovecraft, Lord Dunsany, F. Harvey, W.W. Jacobs, F. Paul Wilson, Graham Masterton, etc... Stephen King is good too, but totally overrated. Watch John Carpenter’s movies, They rule like hell.
10.How define the life of Marquis de Sade and  Aleister Crowley
Two interesting and abusive personalities who surely will have their names remembered for a long time.
11.How do you see the world actually, the end is near? The way mankind’s treating this world we are all sure to go to Hell. We are building up our own end and I can’t say I do anything to stop it. I don’t care at all, despite it’s my problem too. I’m sure it will be the greatest firework ever.
12.For you what is the best zine that your has read?
A few days ago I received a copy of the Spanish AB Erebo Magazine and I must say it was fairly good. But some of the bands were not interesting to me. At least it wasn’t the typical stupid "Black metal only" magazine. I really love to read my old issues of Stregoica (R.I.P.) and Septicore (R.I.P.). Not professional but definitely interesting. It’s impossible to mention the best, I think. I’m working on my own mag right now (Tornado Magazine) and it will include interviews with Apollyon, Thus Defiled, Mortuary Drape, Solena Skygge, Blazing Eternity, Warhammer, Twisted Tower Dire, Feikn, Denial of God, Suicidal Winds, Moonblood and Wood-Nymph Records. It’s probably out when you read this, so write me and see. It won’t be the usual shitty mag.
13.Do you have material  ready for your next album.please inform us of the futures plans and   merchandise?.
I don’t like to talk too much about it as many things can still change, but I can reveal some song titles like "A night in Transylvania", "The iron gibbet", "The curse of the witch", "Black horror metal" (not the same recording as on our forthcoming MCD), "Medieval mysteries (Superstitions)" and "The book of Oiufael". It will destroy all our old releases as everything is now done better in all ways. Fear our coming. About merchandise we haven’t any specific plans yet, but we have agreed with Hammerheart Records that they will print both t-shirts and sew-on patches. I recommend everybody to write to us as we need all the support we can get. People should enclose IRC though as we are not rich. Thank for this interview, a great support. Support only those who deserve to be supported. Hails to South America for having some very intense bands. Se you in the crypt!
